A Pivoting Experience

Life forced me to take steps back. The painting of myself that I was creating looked nothing like me. For awhile I tried to figure out where I went wrong. How did I end up here? So, I went back to the beginning.. to the root of it all. There’s this phrase that I dislike that people tend to use. “People don’t change”. All that statement really tells me is that whoever uses this statement isn’t willing to evolve. Yes, parts of who we are may never change. However, our purpose is to evolve. It’s just the matter of whether or not we have the right resources and surroundings to do so. Yet, I was able to do that through being silenced, which ultimately connected me to my voice.
