  • How to Take the Family Business to The Next Level

How to Take the Family Business to The Next Level

In this episode we have Chue Yee Vang, CEO of Malee's Kitchen. In a relatively short amount of time Chue has been able to increase the revenue of the family restaurant from 6-figures to 7-figures. Chue's story is one that will really ring home if you grew up within a family business, there was some hesitation from his parents to hand over the reigns of the operations. It's only natural, as the new generations come up, it can be difficult to navigate past the "Old Ways" into the New Era. We also cover a heart warming story, about how Chue was able to help his mom get her time back, and stop being so involved in the business. Like many business owners, his mom worked 12-14 hour shifts every day. Chue was able to go into the business, and establish systems that allowed his mom to have her time back. She now gets to enjoy vacations and more time with her family. Whether you are in a family business or not, Chue's tactics to earn respect from those above him in the business ladder can apply to your career; even if you aren't dealing with your parents. There are many GEMS in this show if you are hungry to elevate your role where you currently are. Lastly, if you haven't tried Malee's Kitchen, make sure to stop by and give them a try. We had it right after the show, and we loved it, Chue and everyone at Malee's Kitchen is so welcoming, and the food is DELICIOUS. • Starting a Vintage Clothing Business from Scratch, Following Your Heart, Never Giving Up

Starting a Vintage Clothing Business from Scratch, Following Your Heart, Never Giving Up

In today's episode we bring you Roberto Cobain, owner of Valley's vintage, hype, and retro store in Downtown Fresno! Originally Roberto is from Huron, CA. If you don't know where Huron is, we don't blame you. It is one of those very small Rural towns in the Valley. It's so small it doesn't even have its own High School. That didn't stop Roberto from pursuing his dreams, and packing his bags and heading to Fresno. Although, many of us here in the Valley think we have to leave elsewhere outside of The Valley, Roberto knew there was a lot more opportunity in Fresno than in Huron. His story will definitely strike the chord with you, because he started off pursuing something because it was "stable" not because he enjoyed it but ultimately he chose to take the RISK every entrepreneur takes and pursue their desires and try to create a business out of it. After years in the vintage and clothing business he opened up shop in Downtown Fresno. One of the important things for Roberto is representation, he wants everyone to know that it doesn't matter if your skin is brown and you're just some kid from a tiny farm town, you can make your dreams a Reality.
