Dan Downs (https://www.linkedin.com/in/dandownsculturecurator/) joined us to talk about diversity and inclusion efforts in a very traditional and stodgy industry, the legal industry, and the work it takes to make the right changes.

The resulting theme: Employers can purposefully expand who and how they hire, even in industries that have long and unvaried career paths that have traditionally been dominated by white males, like the legal field. Hiring people into HR, administrative roles, and other support roles from outside the industry can help increase diversity and start changing the culture immediately. This will help create a culture that can attract different kinds of people.
