A Filipino's Dream

A Filipino's Dream

by Eric Arzaga
Season 1
Episode 18: You are what you eat!
In this final episode of this season, I share my belief that what you consume is what you will become. I have read 18 books in the past 10 months; and the result of that is the mindset that I now have and the decision I have made to move on with the next chapter of my life, and that is to hang up the uniform and pursue a different lifestyle. And it all began with these two books I share in this talk. See you in the next season!
Episode 17: Did you get a Bonus?!
In this episode, I got a chance to interview a group of Soldiers in Training about their journey so far in the military with a special emphasis on the new enlistment bonuses that the military is currently promoting.
Episode 16: Stop Predicting the Future
In this episode, I share my interaction with a Soldier in Training on the firing range. It was a conversation about predicting the future; and that by doing so, it causes doubt, uncertainty, and a lot of "what ifs," instead of focusing on doing. If the end is meant to happen, then whatever happens before that is meant to happen.
Episode 15: Everyone has a Dream
In this episode, we talk about having a dream. A Dream is so critical because dictates what are goals are. A dream is something you will always continue to pursue, while a goal is something you will get to eventually. Everyday, a dream is supposed to fuel you and remind you to conquer those goals. There are three types of people when it comes to purpose: a nobody, an ordinary, and a dreamer. Be a dreamer every single day so that you are positive about the outlook on life and those around you.
Episode 14: This is My Belief
In this episode, I share my belief about the world. My belief starts with me and the interactions I have with those within my Family, my community, my workplace, and strangers in the marketplace. If we begin to have conversations about where others are coming from, we can begin to unite a relationship that is based on understanding; this understanding leads to love, kindness, and trust, and ultimately a better world.
Episode 13: What is your Personal Brand?
In this episode, I discuss the topic of personal branding. This is one of the most important things to keep in mind early on in your career and life in general. The people you come in contact with will have initial and lasting impressions of you, regardless of how long that interaction/relationship was. Always remember to love and give people your best because you never know how you might change their life or how they might change your life.
Episode 12: The voices you hear are the choices you make
In this episode, I open and share my heart to those that want to cut out the noise and and are overcoming wasted time. Everything I consume affects the fuel in my brain, the decisions I make, and the actions I take. It is like a high performance sports car. A Ferrari or a Lamborghini will not perform to its highest potential if it is being fueled with 87 Octane. Fuel your mind with the same grade similar to that of the person you want to become years from now.
Episode 11: Are you Living for Someone Else?
In this episode, I discuss a topic that is near and dear to my heart that I dont want anyone else have to experience or go through, and that is living for the approval of others. Live your life for your own decisions and your own definition of success, and not for anyone else.
Episode 10: A Life Story with Sergeant First Class (Ret.) Rogelio "Rudy" Bumanglag
In this episode, I have the honor and privilege of deep diving a little bit more on my uncle Rudy's life story. He served 40 honorable years in the military and government service, and finally retiring in 2015. An incredible Leader, Father, Husband, and Grandfather to his family.
Episode 9: Exposed to Success
In this episode, I talk about exposure to my own definition of success. The world has its own definition of success, but I now know that my success journey is out of the military.
