From the beginning of mankind, we read in Genesis 3 the first incident of self-justification when Adam and Eve were confronted with sin. There was a shifting of blame and their relationship with God was affected. Taking ownership of our actions and their consequences allows us to come to a place of forgiveness, resolution, and peace with God and with those around us.
