As Christians, we understand that whatever we do in this life is an outward expression of our inner intentions. Whether it is through prayer, praise and worship, or our acts of service, our focus is to uplift and glorify God.
It says in Mark 7:15, There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
