This week, we're watching Chak De India, which tells the story of the Indian Women's Hockey team as they fight for the recognition they deserve. Though the film stars Shah Rukh Khan, it's really about the strong, scrappy, empowering, and gifted women who (spoiler alert) bring the team to victory. Vidya Malvade, Sagarika Ghatge, Shilpa Shukla, Chitrashi Rawat, and Tanya Abrol make up the core cast. Chak De India was written by Jaideep Sahni, and directed by Shimit Amin.
