Note sull'episodio
In this episode of Zero Signal Shorts, we uncover the hidden Cold War history of General Mills, the cereal giant behind Cheerios, Lucky Charms, and Wheaties. Recently declassified government documents suggest that during the 1950s and 60s, General Mills worked with U.S. defense agencies on aerosol and balloon research that paralleled biological weapons development.
From puffed grains to powder dispersion, the same engineering that made breakfast fast and easy may once have served military secrecy. Host David explores how industry, science, and government overlap and how a company that feeds millions could also be tied to the technologies of control.
