In this episode, Dane reveals his "unremarkable" start to drinking and his path. He talks about moments that were embarrasing, humbling, scary, and healing. In this episode, Brooke gets DEEP into her new foundation of being conscious with god in her everyday life because of her battle. The rest of the group talks about their view on step 11. We discuss tips to help maintain spirituality and practice our new habits to stay sober. We also answer a couple questions about sobriety and supporting addicts in our life based on questions from the audience.

Step 10: Personal Inventory and When we are Wrong, admitting it.

In this episode, the friends discuss keeping resentments at bay to help maintain sobriety. We discuss when to let go of resentment, guilt, and shame. We discuss holding on to things too long, when to admit we are wrong, and when to let go and allow your higher power to help guide your feelings. This step is considered the emotional recognition step. Brooke discusses the importance of getting sober with the help of Doctors and Therapists and we ask Julie to dive in to the medical side of addiction for some very informative and powerful thoughts on the damage we do to our brains that wire us for addiction and the need to use all resources available to help get sober.

Steps Eight and Nine: Making a list and Making our Amends

In this episode, we introduce the newest Friend. After a few guest appearances, Brooke officially joins the group and she shares her powerful story. Julie and Olivia discuss the term "resilient" and what it means. Lance is celebrated for his long term sobriety and his dedication to that. We dive into what it looks like to make amends, who it should be for, and the fragility of navigating these steps.

Steps Six and Seven: Character Defects and Asking a Higher Power to Remove them.

This is one of the most fun episodes we have recorded. In this episode, the friends discuss character defects, what they are, and how we prepare ourselves to remove them. Olivia discusses a heartfelt conversation with her step-daughters, Julie gives amazing insight on giving yourself grace and Dane gets FIRED UP about the stigma around substance abuse. This is emotional, entertaining, and real. You'll feel all the emotions with this one!

Step Five: The Confession Stage

This episode is a MUST listen. In this episode, it gets real. We invite our friend Brooke to join us to hang out and she brings some great insight. Olivia and Lance get vulnerable and it gets heavy. This episode talks about secrets that keep us in our addiction, letting them out, and the healing that can begin once the skeletons in our closets are released.

Dane discusses letting go of some resentment in the form of "Larry the Turtle." This episode will make you laugh, think, and maybe cringe a time or two....but hey. That's life.

Step Three: Turning it over to "god" as you see him.....

They discuss what god is to them, walking along side their higher power, and gaining a better understanding of life since becoming sober. They dive deep into how and why situations are brought into their life and learning hard lessons on life's/god's timing.
