Raleigh recently experienced its warmest spring on record, with an average temperature of 75.8 degrees from March 1 through May 31. This broke the previous record of 75.2 degrees set in 2012. The third warmest spring was in 2022, with an average of 74.8 degrees. Notably, half of the top 10 warmest springs have occurred since 2007. This trend has led Esri, a company specializing in geographic information systems used by the White House and cities across the U.S., including Raleigh, to predict a hotter-than-expected summer.
