A Father's Day Episode For Those of Us Who Have Lost Our Dads

Hi everyone, It's Father's Day here in Australia today. For many of us, this can be a difficult day; whether you've recently lost your Dad, you lost him many years ago or you're anticipating his imminent loss. This episode is a replay from Season Three, where I chronicled some of the aspects of losing my dear Dad. This episode aired around seven weeks after his passing. This will be my second Father's Day without him. I miss him terribly. I pray that this episode might be a blessing to you as you continue to navigate your own season of grief. If you would like to talk to someone who's currently in the 'thick of it', it would be a privilege to chat. I'm on Instagram: @withstandpod or email: withstandpod@gmail.com God bless.

Grieving Dad | A 12 Month Reflection

Hi everyone, Dedicated to my dear Dad. A man of great faith and a fiercely protective (and biased!) father and husband. Thank you for joining me for this special edition of the Withstand Podcast. Today marks twelve months since my Dad went home to be with Jesus. The grief and the searing pain that his enormous absence has brough remains, but so does the blessed hope (and knowledge) that I will see Dad again, when I too, go home to be with the Lord. Today's episode consists of a short reflection, a couple of highly relevant daily devotions from Charles Stanley and abridged episode that Dad and I recorded in July 2024. There may be a reference or two that is no out of date, but the main reasons I wanted to share it are threefold: Dad's quirk and humour are in full flight in this ep Dad's faith and grace are also in full flight herein Dad's fascination with Revelation 13 (specifically, the Mark of the Beast) has never been more relevant today. We discuss cashless societies and read through this part of Revelation 13 during this special episode. If you're currently in the midst of your own grief, my inbox and DM's are always open :) withstandpod@gmail.com @withstandpod Maranatha and God Bless you, guys.
