You don't believe in unschooling? Education rebel Mariana Ludmila Cortez will change that. She has two unschooled kids, who are now studying in university – yes, you read that right, the two are studying like “normal” young adults.
In this episode, founder of the two educational projects Desescolarizados and Edularity, tells us how she went from homeschooling to unschooling, and why giving up on the way is perfectly normal. Also, we have a little “Bitcoin rabbit hole” moment here and there, because Mariana is as fascinated as me by the decentralized nature of the first ever cryptocurrency:
“I also got attracted about what's blockchain, and what's Bitcoin? So when I started to research what was that, it completely made sense. The philosophy, the peer-to-peer, decentralized approach. And to me, it was like an immediate connection to education, and I was like, ok that is liberty, that is how I educate my kids: peer-to-peer, decentralized.”
