Subterranean Suburbs

What do an Australian mining town, a Star Wars filming location, and a failed Texas doomsday compound have in common?

In this episode of Waywut, Darrell and Jason go deep—literally—into the world of underground living, both brilliant and bonkers. From Coober Pedy, where residents beat 120° heat by moving underground, to Matmata, Tunisia, a cave-dwelling village turned tourist trap, to Trident Lakes, a luxury bunker project that promised end-of-days prep with fountains and polo fields before collapsing in fraud charges, this episode has it all.

🌍 Inside This Episode:

• Coober Pedy, Australia: the opal-mining desert town that lives underground
• Matmata: the desert village where Star Wars meets ancient engineering
• Trident Lakes, Texas: a $300 million doomsday condo dream that went very wrong
• Rich preppers, weird real estate, and one extremely suspicious spa fountain
