Story of David and Bathsheba

The story of King David and Bathsheba (found in 2 Samuel 11-12) teaches us that sin snowballs quickly when unchecked, starting from a moment of complacency, leading to abuse of power, deception, and severe collateral damage to others, though it also demonstrates the power of true repentance and accountability.

Even though God forgave David, real-life consequences still affected his family and kingdom. The consequences of the sin was not erased. His home would never be the same. We have to understand that forgiveness doesn’t always prevent the consequences of your sin.
