One of B.C. and Canada’s best known hereditary chiefs has died. Vancouver Island’s Bill Wilson passed away on Friday according to an announcement by his daughter - former federal attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould. She described her father as living a life of leadership and always striving to make change. Wilson pushed to make sure Indigenous title to land and treaty rights were enshrined in Canada’s Constitution. Bill Wilson was 80.
