Taking the Bible seriously is not the same as taking the Bible literally.” Scripture requires interpretation and it is impossible to remove the interpreter from the interpretation...so a little humility is always in order. Yet - Jesus is the fullest revelation of God and so we consider all Scripture in light of how it conforms to the pattern of Jesus.
