Black Holes
Alex Fountain is a screenwriter and film festival projectionist based in Denver. He shared his powerful Unsent on stage at our Death Edition in Denver in 2025. Alex knew he had to become a filmmaker when, at age thirteen, the local public access channel told him that his "ambitious" Late Night with David Letterman spec commercial wasn't a fit for their station. Determined to have his revenge, he spent the first part of his career working as a technician in community television and radio broadcasting, and for the past eighteen years, he's brought other non-syndicated filmmakers' dreams to the silver screen as a film festival technical director and projectionist. A writer of features films and pilots, his script, MARK OF THE BEAST, made the Top 50 in ISA's Fast Track Fellowship and was a finalist in Horror2Comic; semifinalist in ScreenCraft's Animation Competition, Script2Comic, Bahamas Screenwriters Residency, and Filmmatic Horror Screenplay Awards; and quarterfinalist in ScreenCraft's Comedy and Horror Competitions and the PAGE Awards. Take that, Longmont Channel 3. Be sure to join us at our very last Denver Show of 2026 on Friday May 8th for our big Unsent Send Off Show! Join us in person or via Live Stream! Dear Dad, The World Is Different Since You Left
We love when our community members send in voice memos of their unsents from home! This one is extra special, heartfelt and heartbreaking, from our friend Priscilla Dann-Courtney. Priscilla is a psychologist and writer. She and her husband of 42 years raised three children. And she likes to say even though we are all growing older, the emphasis has to be on the growing and doing new things. So at 68, she started standup comedy to remember the importance of laughter and challenge of making ourselves BIG and center stage. Her columns have appeared in numerous national publications, and her book, Room to Grow, Stories of Life and Family (Norlights Press, 2009) is a collection of her essays. She dreams of becoming a peach farmer bringing sweetness and healing to a struggling world. We're thrilled to announce that Priscilla is one of our ten brave readers getting on the mic sharing a whole new message at our Unsent Send Off Show on May 8th! Be sure to get your tix at unsentshow.com to join us in person or via live stream. Take good care of yourselves and each other, keep sending those unsents, and we'll be back with you next week. Love, Britt

Dear Sexual Energy: Thank You
We're honored to feature Naomi Savas on the pod this week! Naomi is a 26-year-old queer woman from Metro-Detroit, Michigan. She worked very hard on her unsent with a full heart. Naomi has navigated depression, anxiety, and a late-life ADHD diagnosis, and this was her very first time stepping onto a stage to share her story. With courage and pride, she opened up about her journey of sexuality — a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and reclamation of her sexual energy. Dear Jack, My Favorite Thai Masseuse
Bonus
Every once in a while we like to go back into the Unsent archives and share some of the very first Unsents Britt ever wrote. Britt's therapist told her to write a letter to Jack, her regular massage therapist who decided that one evening, he was going to rub her in new private places without her consent. She said nothing, let him do it, did nothing, froze, freaked out, over tipped him and ran out, even thanking him. And she still carries shame and confusion from this assault experience with her. In fact, she tried but couldn't even share it on the mic at the very first Unsent show she co-hosted with Hanna Bowens (our beloved former at her home in Silverlake, LA, back in Oct 2017. Sometimes this is the only place we can put things. And we release whenever and however we can to achieve some catharsis and healing. Thank you for being with us on this Unsent healing journey, however complicated it may be. And don't forget to please join us in person or live stream on Fri May 8th for our Unsent Send Off Show in Denver! Tix and more at unsentshow.,com! Love, Britt and Saxon

To me, You a bad motherfucker.

We're thrilled to feature Mahogany Imani on this week's podcast! Mahogany Imani, a slightly inappropriate poet for the past decade, strives to create safe spaces for other queer and trans folk to gather, unapologetically cackle, take up space, and talk their shit, disrespectfully. Mahogany's work can be described as a "celebratory self expóse" as one will never get anything but authentic originality from Imani's eclectic pieces. Buckle in and let’s have some fun, kiddos. Mahogany got on the mic at our Sex Edition in Sept, 2025 at Town Hall Collaborative. Enjoy y'all!
