#71 You Keep Finishing Things Before They Begin

The screen is full of things to see. You have seen more today than an ancestor would see in a lifetime. And yet you have stopped nowhere.

Not because the images lack beauty. Stopping has become uncomfortable. In the pause, you meet yourself. That is what we are fleeing.

Stopping is not a skill. It is a surrender. The mind that can stay with anything is the mind that has stopped fleeing its own restlessness. When you cannot bear to linger, it is not the image that is empty. It is the one looking.
