TFTH-Episode 1a-Intro and Issue of Pride (revised version)

This is an updated version of the first episode introducing the podcast and I start talking about the issue of pride. There will be 2 other parts to this episode. Nothing is wrong with the original first episode. I wanted to add more verses and examples.

TFTH-Episode 1-Intro and the Issue of Pride

In the pilot episode of the podcast I talk about the goal of the podcast and then talk about one of the biggest issues plaguing our society, the issue of pride.

TFTH-Episode 11-Redeemed By The Blood of Jesus-Special Features

Bonus
This is the special feature episode for Episode #11 about redemption. The first part of the episode is a redemption story from gospel singer Donnie Sumner. The 2nd element is a song from one of the Gaither Homecoming videos featuring Squire Parsons, Karen Peck, Guy Penrod and the Gaither choir. It's called Redeemed and is from the video Singin' In My Soul. Finally, the final song serves as a testament to so many. It's a song called The Lord Still Lives In This Old House and is sung by JD Sumner, the uncle of Donnie Sumner. I hope you are blessed by what you hear on this episode.

TFTH-Special Update Episode-043024

Bonus
This is a special update episode. I've had a lot going on lately and haven't be able to post new episodes. I just wanted to update everyone with what's been going on and share the next episode I'm working on. I also wanted to share two songs that have spoke to me over the last few weeks. The first one is I Know Who Holds Tomorrow featuring George Younce and Larry Ford from the Gaithers, the 2nd is 2 versions of Til The Storm Passes By featuring Vestal Goodman in both. I hope you find these to be a blessing to you.

TFTH-Episode 7-Special Features

Bonus
In Episode 7 we learned about many of the false churches that are putting Christian music today and why these songs are dangerous to the Christian walk. Many of the songs from these false churches aren't rooted in sound theology, which is a major issue. Hymns are, I believe, the safest option. Here are a couple of my favorite hymns I wanted to share with you. I also believe we should sing songs like this and then let the Holy Spirit move. This is I'd Rather Have Jesus and O How I Love Jesus Sung by the Crabb Family and the Gaither Vocal Band on their album How Great Thou Art. The 2nd song is The Old Rugged Cross sung by the Statler Brothers on their album Gospel Favorites.

TFTH-Episode 5-Special Features

Bonus
In Episode 5 I gave examples of how to get the world out of the church as well as different areas where it can creep into our lives. I encouraged you to examine your life and ask God to come into whatever area of your life where the world reigns. I heard this song the other day and thought it would be perfect to matchup with the theme of this episode. It's called Sanctuary and it's sung by Jessy Dixon at the Gaither Homecoming in Toronto.

TFTH-Episode 6 Special Features (revised version)

Bonus
This is the special features episode for episode 6a&b. The two songs are Crucified with Christ by Philips, Craig and Dean and then the 2nd song is a great hymn called Because He Lives and is sung by Guy Penrod. I will do an episode later about what kind of worship music we should avoid because of theological issues etc. I originally had a different song in this episode, but took it out because it fails to mention the name of Jesus. I feel if you can put anyone's name into a song then we shouldn't be worshipping God with it. Our worship should be unique and to Him only and Jesus is the name above every name. I hope both songs are a blessing to you.

TFTH-Episode 1-Issue of Pride and Example of Humility-Special Features Episode

Bonus
In this first special feature episode I play two songs for you that I think go along well with the episode. I mentioned Jesus What a Mighty Name in episode 1b, here it is sung by Daniel Crews and the FBC Jacksonville Choir and Orchestra, it was originally written by Kim Noblitt. The 2nd song is Sinner Saved by Grace, written by Bill & Gloria Gaither. It's sung by The Cathedrals at their farewell tour in May of 1999 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. I hope both songs are a blessing to you.

TFTH-Episode 2-Changing our View of Money-Special Feature

Bonus
This is a special feature to complement Episode 2 about changing our view of money. I mentioned this song in the episode. It's One Size Fits All by the Statler Brothers. It's from their CD Gospel Favorites.
