Troubleshooting Life Podcast | Season 0 Episode 11 | Respect Your Obligations

Welcome to the Troubleshooting Life Podcast! J and Craig are on a mission to bridge the gap between generations by empowering, exposing, and educating others about financial literacy, new perspectives, and life goals. Today's topic of conversation goes over respecting your obligations. We tend to put optional tasks or opportunities above our obligatory responsibilities. For example, if you're in school and your friends decide to go out for drink when you know you are supposed to study for exams. That time for leisure and fun has its place, but not as a priority over your responsibility to education. Craig and J go over a few more examples relating to family, work, and personal obligations. Troubleshooting Life Podcast | Season 0 Episode 8 | Don't Let Anyone Invest More Into You Than You

Welcome to the Troubleshooting Life Podcast! J and Craig are on a mission to bridge the gap between generations by empowering, exposing, and educating others about financial literacy, new perspectives, and life goals. Today's topic of conversation is Don't Let Anyone Invest More Into You Than You. Sometimes we fall into the trap of allowing others to give their time, money, or other resources to us without reciprocity. A tangible story is when a Professor spends at least an hour of their time instructing you, then you should spend at least two hours self studying. For those thinking, "But don't we pay for their salary?" While you may pay for tuition to be at the school, it is not a one for one dollar exchange for that Professor's time and energy. And in the end, you owe it to yourself, not them, to spend that time studying. This anecdotal story is just one example Craig and J walk through during this podcast. Troubleshooting Life Podcast | Season 0 Episode 6 | Time Over Money

Welcome to the Troubleshooting Life Podcast! J and Craig are on a mission to bridge the gap between generations by empowering, exposing, and educating others about financial literacy, new perspectives, and life goals. Today's topic of conversation is Time Over Money. As people, we tend to put a high value on money and forget that our greatest resource is time. Time for each person is finite, as in there is only so much time that a person lives. We tend to trade our time for money and put more of our energy towards that time versus other moments, such as with family, community, or hobbies. Craig and J go through a series of questions on how we can be more cognizant of our time and how to change the mindset of over-valuing money. New Segments!!! Frugal or Cheap: This segment is dedicated to analyzing whether a financial move is frugal or cheap because there is a fine line between them. This week's topic is purchasing a Cash Car. Feel free to share a topic that you have in mind!
