The expectations of a parent and their children can be difficult to navigate. Whether it is intentional or not, this topic probably comes up in one form or another: "What do you expect from your child? What are YOUR own hopes for the future?".

I'll say right off that parents will always have certain goals they want fulfilled by kids - but if both parties aren't willing to put some work into making those dreams come true together then there won’t be any progress made at all! The real question here isn't “What do I expect from my child?", rather "What work am I willing to put in?"
