Vu was never really academically gifted, although his strict parenting on discipline is what really flipped his results and took him to the next level. The expectations of a parent and their children can be difficult to navigate. I'll say right off that parents will always have certain goals they want fulfilled by kids - but if both parties aren't willing to put some work into making those dreams come true together then there won’t be any progress made at all! The real question here isn't “What do I expect from my child?", rather "What work am I willing to put in?"
