The Mysterious Cities of Gold Discussion

Kevin Thompson and Mike Blanchard jump into the DeLorean for their first Season 2 episode, exploring the 1982 Japanese-French animated series The Mysterious Cities of Gold (also known as Esteban: Child of the Sun). They discuss the show's unique blend of anime, adventure storytelling, and historical elements, debate the quality of the English dub and theme song, investigate the behind-the-scenes music credits including work by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy, and explore why this early Nickelodeon gem remains largely overlooked. The hosts also touch on the possibility of a sequel series in development.
