Rod Mackenzie is known throughout the land as the "Cod whisperer"  the man who can convince Murray Cod to jump up on his line and they seem to obey him.

To the young strapping sales lad at Pioneer Ford,  he's Dad,  and to most people in Manangatang,  he's Rod.

He has fished some incredible places around the world and has been featured on Paul Worsterling's iFish a number of times,  some of which you'll here in this episode.

He still calls Manang home, and he still loves fishing around the Vale,  so it's only appropriate that we should have a chat to him with cod opening coming up very soon.
