What Jews Really Believe About Jesus
Stagione 1
di Dave McGarrah & Harold Berman
The final episode in our three-part series on this "third rail" of Jewish-Christian dialogue. We discuss some of the amazing parallels between Jesus' statements and prayers and those of the Jewish Sages, how and why Jews and Christians read the same prophecies in the Hebrew Bible and understand them so differently, what Jews believe about resurrection, and more.
We continue our multi-episode podcast series on this thorniest of topics. Where does Jesus fit in the Judaism of Second Temple times? Why do many statements of Jesus and the Jewish Sages sound surprisingly similar? What do Jews believe about salvation, the messiah and all those ideals so central to Christian faith? Fasten your seatbelt and listen in as The Teacher & The Preacher take you on a wild ride through what has divided Jews and Christians for 2,000 years.
Inspired by a question from a listener, this multi-episode series is a no-holds-barred conversation about the hardest issue for Jews and Christians to discuss. If you've ever wondered how Jews view Jesus, how they read the Bible and why that leads them to still wait for the messiah.
