di Ben Ledbetter and Peter Cunningham
Stagione 1

Ep. 12: Alan Webb shares the aspects of life as an American Record Holder

We had the amazing opportunity to share brunch with the Alan Webb. He is the current head cross country and track coach at Ave Maria University, American Mile Record Holder, and the fastest American high school miler. We discuss his life as a pro, what drew him to coaching and what life has looked like on the other side of his fastest years. It was an life giving talk and we hope you enjoy it as well!

Ep. 11: Half Blind Half Marathoning with Kristi Kelley

We share a homemade brunch with our guest, Kristi. She is a Paralympic hopeful, mom, and catch phrase extraordinaire. In our conversations we touch on the history of brunch, her running origin story, and how she lives everyday with the idea of "Everything is hard, do HARDER things," and that she "GETS to run!" We hope her story resonates with you all and that you know you can do the hard things in life, despite your own ailments. Also, here is an image search for the "discman".

Ep. 10: Baggin' Rays with Cole Sprout

We had the opportunity to have an amazing conversation with Cole Sprout. Cole is a Valor High School Alumni and current Stanford University runner. We talk about his intro to running, how his faith has impacted his life, and his take on brunch! Peter mentioned me linking the video of ChatGBT vs Stockfish. Here it is! https://youtu.be/rSCNW1OCk_M

Ep. 09: Taking Time to Talk to Taylor!

We have on current Puma Elite, former Arkansas Razorback, and Missouri raised Taylor Werner. We had an amazing time talking through her life as a runner. We touch on her time in high school, her time at the UofA, and her transition from college to pro. And, finally, someone agrees with Ben about the definition of brunch. Peter said something about putting a thing in show-notes but I 100% can not think of it as I am sitting in a Colorado hotel after a long day of Warhammer 40k.

Ep. 08: Jim and Anne Ryun sit down for brunch!

We are so blessed to have Jim Ryun and his wife Anne on the podcast this week! We wanted to not only hear from Jim about his time as a professional runner but also from Anne in regards to the life she has lived along side him. They talk training, life in politics, how they met, and how they came to be Believers in Jesus Christ.

Ep. 07: Empowering yourself with Evangeline Bacon

This week we are joined by a local runner who is working towards her first half marathon, Evangeline Bacon. Evangeline started running in 2019. We hear how running has drastically changed many aspects of her life. She also comes up with this week's giveaway so make sure to listen for that at the end! I was supposed to put a bunch of things in the show notes that Peter mentioned. I think one of them was the SNL skit, Hidden Valley Ranch, https://youtu.be/GQ4jPqU5r7k.

Ep. 06: Running rampant about being romantic

This week, we dive into what we find romantic about running. What is it that has made us constantly comeback to the sport of running? What do we find beautiful about the sport? There is also another giveaway at the end of this episode so be on the lookout for that! No one has contacted us yet about last episode's Bluey reference so it is still up for grabs as of the posting of this podcast! See ya later Brunchsters!

Ep. 05: Running for fun after running fast with Myra Tubb

We sit down with a manager of Rush Running, Myra Tubb, to hear her story of running. Myra raced for a NCAA Division 2 school where every day was a hard day. After feeling burnt out on running, her return to Northwest Arkansas has shown her that she can enjoy running outside of the competitive training she's always known.

Ep. 04: Whether you like it or not, We take on the problem of Weather

Ben and Peter discuss the difficulty of training through different weather conditions. We all have the days where we don't want to hit the road because it is miserable outside. Whether its the fresh snow, the blazing summer heat, or the random monsoon that rolls through, we talk about how to handle the conditions and alternative options if it isn't safe to train. This is another older episode from mid 2022. Thanks for stopping in!

Ep. 03: Mile High Brunch with Jonathan Finer

Jonathan Finer is a close friend and former teammate of us both. He is currently working towards a marathon PR. We discuss our shenanigans as teammates, how he worked through his health issues, and how he is now on the comeback for a big marathong. We recorded this right before the 2022 Track and Field World Championships so there are a lot of predictions of races that have now already happened.
