Note sull'episodio
Psalm 23 begins in green pastures and ends in the Father’s house. The Shepherd who restores wandering sheep and walks with them through dark valleys has always been leading them somewhere. His purpose was never merely to preserve His people in the wilderness, but to bring them safely home.
In these final two verses of Psalm 23 we discover that the greatest gift Christ gives His people is not merely His provision, but His presence. He prepares a table for them, pursues them with goodness and mercy all their days, and delights to welcome them into everlasting fellowship with Himself. From the prodigal son to John 14 and Revelation 21, Scripture proclaims one glorious reality: Christ wants His people with Him. One day, we will discover that we were not the only ones longing for home-the Shepherd was longing for it too.
