By any measure, Andy Panko is an interesting man. Founder of Tenor Financial, a fee-based planning firm in Metuchen, NJ, Andy came to the financial planning profession after a long stint on Wall Street. His corporate finance background led us to a discussion of macroeconomic issues, financial engineering, his philosophy on advisor compensation, and much more.

Before building a successful practice, Andy built lots of other things. He was, literally, a builder and remodeler. He was even showcased on a reality TV show. Oh, and he’s tried his hand at standup comedy.
