Another discussion about the events that matter this week.

I have another discussion amongst friends today, this time with an addition to the commentary team. Not only do I have my friend Mitch back again, (I think this is going to be a very regular thing), I have our new friend, Ms. Frances Chiu, a very astute political analyst and noted Bernie Sanders fan. We mostly focus on U.S. politics in our first get together and deal with some minor IT technical issues on the part of Ms. Chiu. But that is what makes this show unique in that we all have internet problems from time to time and we don't try to hide our everyday struggles, whether it is plumbing, something breaking or the internet. Join us as we explore daily life together from our homes on the U.S. eastern coast every week to see if our daily struggles mirror your own in some way.

Hanging Out. Two Friends discussing the things that Matter the Most this Week.

Once again, my friend Mitch and I sit down together and discuss the things that are foremost on our minds. His plumbing issues, my minor house repair issues up to global politics and a possible economic recession. We are your every man/woman kind of people with normal weekly struggles and thoughts on what our government leaders are doing against our wishes. Come join us as we discuss his lack of availability of a simple part for his ten year old kitchen sink, lack of support in the hardware stores, my own experiences as a major home appliance service company owner and technician, to the news of how the U.S. may be dragging us into a nuclear war with Russia and a possible major recession/depression looming on the near horizon.

Just Two Guys Hanging Out Discussing What Matters Most Today

I have for everyone a discussion between longtime friends about the things that matter most to average Americans right now. From broken air conditioners to politics. We spend an hour today in a discussion that is more like two friends hanging out, much like any other front yard talk between neighbors and friends. Mitch expressed how much he enjoyed our talk together in this our first talk together and we are planning on doing this again soon. He is an immigrant, and I am a U.S. born citizen of Irish descent. I am more Irish than American in thought and deeds. I have been supporting Irish national politics for decades. I am also a career U.S. military veteran who saw the worst of things overseas perpetrated by U.S. soldiers and policy makers. Now, I call it out as I can with this podcast whenever I can. I will have more controversial guests in the future who are not part of the mainstream podcast guesting circuit. My goal is to bring people on here whom the audience has not heard of much, if at all, to talk about current affairs, everyday affairs and veteran's affairs. I hope everyone will join me here with likes, subscribes and shares to help me get the word to the world about what is going on out there that no one hears about with mainstream news.

The Fate of the American Empire is at Stake

Céad Fáilte A thousand welcomes to The Village Oak Tree for May 29th, 2024. I am your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill, and I extend my gratitude to everyone tuning in once again. I anticipated another interview for this week, but my guests, who requested to appear on the show, are taking their time to schedule a date and time. So, until they join us (hopefully next week), I'll present another commentary on the United States' empire and its gradual decline into history's dust. This week's commentary follows the U.S. Memorial Day holiday, where we honor all veterans who sacrificed their lives for the American empire. There are numerous topics on the agenda, with the primary focus being the looming economic downturn as the commercial real estate market is predicted to plummet in the next few years. Tune in as I explore the potential for a crisis akin to 2008 and examine the morality, or the apparent absence thereof, of the U.S. government.

Interview with Sean Carlton, Podcaster, Online Publisher and Founder of Dark Age Media

This conversation, which lasted over an hour, was aimed at understanding the perspective of a younger individual and the sentiments of his community and peers. We discussed my background and the experiences that have shaped my views on the United States and the world at large. We also touched upon the direction the country should take, considering the student protests and the questionable actions of our politicians. Another in the Series- The Failing Empire of the United States

This little over half hour commentary is part of the continuing series of the failing empire of the United Staes. In this segment today, I read a satirical article that describes how commercial the U.S. has become. I read a transcript of the first amendment of the U.S. constitution and offer details on how bad the U.S. looks on the global theatre. The U.S. has made a lot of bad decisions in the last sixty-five years and things don't look good going forward.

My interview with ASM Esquire about his book, "The Final Bible Study"

I have an hour long interview with a young man who wrote a book debunking the Christian Bible and to a degree, the Jewish Torah, the old testament chapters to be more precise. We talk about his book and theology as it applies to the Christians around the world in all of their variations of this religious faith. We delve into some ancient history and an encouragement for students of Christian theology to read this book as it is an eye opener. It is short but very informative.

A Short History and What if's in this Series about the Empire of the United States

First, I can't apologize enough for missing my deadline on Wednesday. This week has been an absolute scheduling nightmare. Now that my Mea Culpa is out of the way, let me tell you what happened and a little about this week's show. I had originally planned to have an interview with someone about his book that debunks the bible but at the last minute (after a couple of previous tries), he postponed and that set of a domino effect on the rest of the week's schedule. I had to put this commentary together in a hurry last Tuesday and I worked into the night trying to get a rough draft together in time for Wednesday. After recording this show and crafting newsletters, by Wednesday night, I was knackered and I forgot to post this on rss.com. In the show I give a brief religious and political history of the U.S., and outline some what if scenarios if certain events in American history had taken a different direction. The current U.S. might look a lot different than it does now. I also talk about the current situation the U.S. finds itself in with the world turning against them and a possible future if the people don't do something soon.

Commentary on The Empire of the United States

Today, I offer you my commentary on the state of the American empire. How it is fading away into the history books, like the empires of old. The Romans, Persians, Ottomans and so on. The U.S. has dug itself a deep grave and, with this latest business of supporting the genocide in Gaza, is now preparing itself for a funeral. Unless the voters can effect some major changes in November, the U.S. will go down in the history books as another faded empire.

Interview with mark Alsip

I hosted Mark Alsip, an author who wrote Journey to Reason. A book about his journey away from Christian fundamentalism. We talk about religious fundamentalism across the world, politics, and other related topics. Come in and give us a listen. I did have some audio issues, which I apologize for. Now corrected for any future shows.
