Hello from The Truly Other!
Stagione 1
Welcome to The Truly Other, the world through people. Behind every institution, movement, crisis, policy and cause are people. Hosted by Victoria, The Truly Other explores the stories, struggles and structures that shape our world(s). Through conversations with incredible people and communities, we examine power, question inherited narratives, explore how the worlds we inhabit came to be and, more importantly, how they could become. Original Music by Dan West.
In this first episode of The Truly Other, I speak with Karo and Floyd from Lewisham People’s Assembly about the campaign to Save Lewisham Shopping Centre, and what it reveals about gentrification, regeneration and who gets to shape a community. We explore what is at stake for local people, businesses and public space, and what meaningful community engagement means. Learn more about the campaign at https://www.instagram.com/lewishampeoplesassembly/ and https://savelewisham.uk/. Original Music by Dan West Be a part of our community!
