The Slanted Attic Experience: Episode 57 "Ryan" Live Shows, Lombardis & the Windy City
Tyler welcomes Ryan to the attic for his first solo appearance. A Connecticut native turned Chicago transplant, Ryan is a consultant by trade and a sports obsessive by nature, with strong opinions on football, a love for live music, and a Buckeyes loyalty that does not waver.
They open with Chicago and its sports scene before moving into sports betting, Ohio State football, and what it takes to build a program in today's NIL and transfer portal landscape. Will Howard's move to Pittsburgh, the Steelers dynasty of the 2010s, NFL penalties, Ryan's firsthand Saquon Barkley story, the new kickoff rules, and fourth down analytics all find their way into the conversation before the Steelers' current standing and remaining schedule close out the football block.
From there the conversation shifts into live music, Richmond's new amphitheater, option paralysis on Spotify, and the Sphere in Las Vegas. AI and social media algorithms lead into Ryan's decision to step away from the platforms. College football closes things out with relegation debates, the expanded playoff, Ryan's CFP picks from Week 6 of the 2025 season, and way too early Super Bowl predictions before the outro.
