News:

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Fair Oaks that left one man critically injured.

Deputies responded to the 8800 block of North Winding Way, where they found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Authorities say the man remains in critical condition, with a gunshot wound lodged in his brain.

A man detained at the scene has been identified as the suspect, though no additional identifying information has been released.
