Greek Brief: Stefanos Kasselakis
Note sull'episodio
Stefanos Kasselakis joins George Moulos for a full-length, unfiltered conversation on THE GREEK BRIEF.
The President of Democrats – Progressive Centre (Δημοκράτες – Προοδευτικό Κέντρο) sits down for an extended discussion about Greece’s political future, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Alexis Tsipras, New Democracy, PASOK, the Greek diaspora, Turkey, foreign policy, the economy, political reform and his own turbulent journey through Greek politics.
Kasselakis discusses his dramatic rise to the leadership of SYRIZA, his departure from the party, the creation of his new political movement and where he believes Greece’s progressive centre should go next.
The conversation moves beyond party politics into some of the bigger questions facing modern Greece: What kind of country should Greece become? What role should Greeks abroad play in its future? How should Athens approach Turkey and the wider geopolitical challenges of the Eastern Mediterranean? And can Greece build a political system that earns back the trust of its citizens?
George also puts Kasselakis through THE GREEK BRIEF’s rapid-fire political questions, asking him to respond directly to some of the biggest names and issues in Greek politics.
Mitsotakis? “The Past.”
Tsipras? “The Past.”
Turkey? “Threat.”
