Geek Down - Dungeons & Dragons, Tetris, Agent Elvis

First up we deep-dive on Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves — no dice jokes or punchy puns, just Chris Pine in a heist movie that actually respects its source material. We're just as surprised as you are! Then we unpack Tetris, the video game origin story that's less about puzzles and more about Soviet bureaucracy/conspiracy/shenanigans. Finally, Agent Elvis gets the treatment — Matthew McConaughey voices "The King," a chain-smoking, government-recruited version of Elvis that's both absurd and strangely true-to-life (IYKYK). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf

Geek Down - Creed III, The Consultant, Cocaine Bear

The crew is coming in swinging this episode, with low blows and ear bites! Starting with Creed III to talk about Michael B. Jordan’s knockout directorial debut, the tension between brotherhood and betrayal, and why sometimes you've gotta let the homie from the hood stay his ass back there. Then things get weird with Cocaine Bear, because a drug-fueled bear tearing through the woods might be the most ridiculous movie premise ever — and glorious. And just when you thought it was safe to sneak a pee in the executive washroom, we clock in for The Consultant, the creepy workplace thriller that’ll make you side-eye your boss, every weird company email, those BS synergy meetings, company retreats with trust-falls, and that stack of TPS reports you’ve been resting your feet on!

Geek Down - Babylon, Chainsaw Man, I Wanna Dance with Somebody

Zero filters on this one! We’re starting off with all the feels, breaking down I Wanna Dance with Somebody and debating if the movie did the legend Whitney Houston justice, or did the legend Whitney Houston dirty. Then, we’re diving into the beautiful trainwreck of Babylon—we gotta talk about Margot Robbie and that Hollywood party, y'all... excess, ambition, some sort of cuck situation... and that's just the opening credits! To top it all off, we’re getting bloody with Chainsaw Man— the anime that somehow mixed demons, gore, heartbreak, and a celibate meet-cute into something that works. We got that tea in a blood-stained cup and we're spilling!

Geek Down - Thunder Force, Morbid The Seven Acolytes, Wicked Things, Godstrike

We’re dissecting Thunder Force—trying to figure out if this superhero mess was comedy gold or just McCarthy and Spencer cashing a check. Then we’re switching lanes to the dark side with Morbid: The 7 Acolytes, to see how that gothic horror energy hits (spoiler: it hits hard. Seriously, the s*** felt personal at times 😵) We’re also diving into the pages of Wicked Things to see if 19-year-old detective Lottie Grote really got the mystery-solving juice. To wrap it all up, we’re getting into the combat of Godstrike and debating who’s really the boss --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you liked this episode and want to help us make more in the future, we'd be hella grateful for a small donation via this link https://www.buymeacoffee.com/villainswtf (no pressure of course - we'll be making the best content we can regardless) 🤘 Become a patron too for longer format episodes, bonus shows, and more! https://www.patreon.com/cw/VillainsWTF And all our sister shows @ https://www.villains.wtf

Geek Down - Masters of the Universe, Kung Fu, Snake Eyes, Fear Street Pt 3

We’re kicking things off by checking the pulse on Masters of the Universe, trying to figure out if that 2021 vision was pure nostalgia or just a total trip. Then, we’re pivoting to the martial arts drama of Kung Fu to see if the action actually hit or if it was just a lot of noise. We’re also stepping into the line of fire with Snake Eyes to see if the G.I. Joe spin-off had enough kick to be kickass... or if it was just ass. Finally, the Netflix slasher Fear Street 1966—we're talking witches, curses, and why you shouldn't touch random funguses.

Geek Down - Zack Snyder's Justice League and Undermine

The crew is coming in hot this episode, breaking down the four-hour superhero marathon that is Zack Snyder’s Justice League — from the slow-motion flexing and black-suit Superman to whether Darkseid actually delivered or just stood around looking stressed. Then we’re taking it underground with UnderMine, the roguelike dungeon crawler where every run feels like payday and punishment at the same time. Expect big laughs, hot takes, cold disses, luke-warm energy, gamer frustration, and at least one argument about Snyder's patented slow-mo bad-touch.

Geek Down - Wonder Woman 1984 and Soul

We’re diving into Pixar’s Soul, breaking down whether that was a beautiful masterpiece about life and purpose or lowkey the most depressing kids movie ever made. Then we’re turning the heat up on Wonder Woman 1984, because the group is split — some calling it a fun ’80s vibe, while others say they fumbled the bag with that wild plot and cheesy dialogue.

Geek Down - WandaVision, Coming 2 America, Disaster, Inc

We're diving deep into the mind-bending chaos of WandaVision, and we've gotta settle the debate: is Wanda a grieving queen or has she completely lost the plot? Then, we’re heading back to Zamunda for Coming 2 America to see if the royal return actually hit the mark or did Eddie and Arsenio ruin a classic for a check. And we’re rounding it all out with the absolute mayhem of the comic Disaster, Inc... cats making money off nuclear tourism—the hustle is real.

Geek Down - Willy's Wonderland, Afterlift, The Swordsman, Everhood

In this week's wild ride of an episode, we're diving into the deranged world of Willy's Wonderland—where Nic Cage fights possessed animatronics with zero dialogue and max chaos—before shifting gears to the neon-drenched, afterlife road trip of Afterlift, a graphic novel that's equal parts existential dread and cosmic comedy. Then we're time-traveling to 17th century Korea with The Swordsman, a martial arts epic that's as beautiful as it is brutal, before wrapping with the surreal, rhythm-infused Everhood, a game that's like if Undertale got into that SHIT! ...then cranked a dope soundtrack. Expect tangents, questionable life choices, and some Nic Cage glazing. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy, hilarious ride.
