Sign Special — VELKAR · September 2 – September 22
VELKAR · The Topaz Sign · September 2 – September 22
A special edition of The Dog You Chose. Most mornings, The Daily Companion reads all eighteen Companion Signs and moves briskly along — but every sign in the wheel deserves a portrait of its own, and this series takes them one at a time, in the order of the year.
Benedetto opens the paper from Gulfport, Florida. Violetta paints the full Velkar portrait: the Instigator of the pack, a dog running on the Play instinct and the Topaz's mood of Joyful Momentum — energetic, enthusiastic, and constitutionally incapable of letting a day start without it. Its motto: "Let's go!" Its habitat: the Dog Park. Its warning, delivered kindly: beware of treating life like a permanent weekend. And the portrait closes with the sign's lesson — practice patience, and let one morning arrive entirely on its own schedule.
A musical break from the author's own notebook: 'I ChatGPT'd This.'
Velkar's readings run in the daily paper through September 22; on September 23 the wheel turns to Talorin. Find your dog's sign at dogyouchose.com. From The Companion Signs by Nick A. Shishkov — the first horoscope ever written for dogs.
