Sign Special — FENRIC · July 24 – August 12
FENRIC · The Obsidian Sign · July 24 – August 12
A special edition of The Dog You Chose. Most mornings, The Daily Companion reads all eighteen Companion Signs and moves briskly along — but every sign in the wheel deserves a portrait of its own, and this series takes them one at a time, in the order of the year.
Benedetto opens the paper from Gulfport, Florida. Violetta paints the full Fenric portrait: the Lookout of the pack, a dog running on the Watch instinct and the Obsidian's mood of Strategic Vigilance — alert, prepared, and constitutionally incapable of being caught off guard. Its motto: "Just in case." Its habitat: the Watchtower. Its warning, delivered kindly: beware of fighting battles that never arrive. And the portrait closes with the sign's lesson — trust others, and let the watch be shared.
A musical break from the author's own notebook: 'Gulfport Groove.'
Fenric's readings run in the daily paper through August 12; on August 13 the wheel turns to Lunara. Find your dog's sign at dogyouchose.com. From The Companion Signs by Nick A. Shishkov — the first horoscope ever written for dogs.
