I read from descriptor to desert. The Jonathan Swift quote was probably from Gulliver's Travels, but I couldn't find it specifically. The word of the episode is "desegregation". As I VERY briefly mentioned in the episode, there are still places that are segregated in terms different groups of people living largely to themselves in areas/cities all over the country (the third link looks at that in depth).
