The Couch Experts Podcast - Episode 23: Cowboys on the Rise, March Madness & J-Mike at the Combine

The Couch Experts are back for Episode 23! Zane and Jamari welcome special guest Dan Morris — the Voice of Cowboy Wrestling — for a deep dive into Wyoming athletics as March heats up.

The guys break down the Wyoming Cowboys wrestling team heading into the Big 12 Championships and NCAA Nationals. They spotlight heavyweight Christian Carroll, ranked wrestler Joey Novak, the Willischel brothers, and a slew of dark horses who could punch their All-American tickets. Dan also shares his bold prediction for a top-10 national finish and explains how Coach Mark Branch has completely rebuilt the culture of the Wyoming wrestling program from the ground up — plus a look at an impressive seven-man recruiting class of state champions on the way in.

Then it's on to Wyoming Basketball. The men's team heads to Las Vegas for the Mountain West Tournament as a potential sleeper — can they pull off an upset? The women's team enters with nothing to lose. Zane and Jamari break down both squads and what to expect.

The crew also celebrates Macy Hansen, Wyoming's sophomore swimmer who broke a school record AND qualified for the NCAA Championships. Then it's time to talk NFL Combine — Wyoming tight end J-Mike ran a blazing 4.6 and sits 6th in athleticism among all tight ends. Is athleticism or production the more important metric for a late draft pick? Zane and Jamari debate it.

Finally — it's March, which means bracket talk. Dan, Zane, and Jamari all share their strategies for surviving March Madness. Favorites? Upsets? Mascots? You'll have to tune in.
