Stagione 1
Part 2: Change Your World - Joy, Stewardship, and the Leadership Long Game
How do you lead when the numbers are fine but something in your spirit isn't? In part 2 of our conversation, Rich Sheridan (Menlo Innovations, Joy Inc., Chief Joy Officer) shares stories he almost didn't tell – an arbitration battle that tested his faith, a dream that made him rewrite a book, and the Boy Scout principle that shapes how he thinks about handing Menlo to the next generation.
A bag of cash sits on the table. The client could open doors. And yet, something in your spirit says no. In this first episode of The Calling And The Company podcast, Rich Sheridan joins David and Mun-Wai to unpack why “the devil always comes carrying cash”. Drawing from 25 years of faith-shaped leadership, he reflects on how a company is defined as much by what it says no to as by what it says yes to. It’s a conversation about joy, dignity, stewardship, and what it means to lead the way Jesus leads. For listeners interested in the operational side of Menlo Innovations, including its interview process, hear Rich’s earlier conversation on the “Our Agile Tales” podcast: Joy and HR – Lessons for Creating an Intentionally Joyful Culture.
