Step outside and you'll feel that thick, muggy air clinging to your skin. Last night's rain left us about a third of an inch statewide. And it's not quite done yet.
Gulf Coast and South Texas — scattered thunderstorms roll through this afternoon. Your best window hits between 1 and 4 P.M., with a 60 to 70 percent shot at getting wet. Highs reach the low 70s. Central Texas stays mostly cloudy with just a slight rain chance, topping out near 70. North Texas? You win today. Patchy fog burns off by mid-morning, then sunshine takes over. Highs near 73.
Tonight, that stalled front lifts back north. Patchy fog redevelops, especially along the coast. Lows settle in the upper 50s to upper 60s statewide.
