Are there benefits to being in a dry place? If Jesus went through the wilderness and overcame then so must we. How can something good possibly come out of a desert? God uses wilderness type experiences to make us. If we are going to become God's heirs, then we must actively enlist ourselves to the tests of the enemy. When we do this the characteristics of Christ can come forth. As we follow Jesus, our pattern, into our own deserts it will also make us more faithful. Those who come out of the desert successfully are those who are loyal to God. If you know who you are in God, then no enemy can talk you out of being loyal to God.
