Dearbone talks about the branch that’s been around for more than a hundred years. Some of the NAACP’s annual efforts include offering scholarships to students, honoring local leaders who help in the fight for justice and co-hosting political candidate forums.

Dearbone is also a former television news reporter who has come full circle and is now an Assistant Professor in WKU's School of Media and Communication. He talks about the changes and challenges the profession has seen because of social media.
