We also hear about an unexpected, shocking, moment that occurred in a dressing room. Get ready for a wild ride as we dive into this crazy TFTSI episode with Bill, Liz and Ms. B!

Bounce House PTSD

Welcome back to TFTSI! In tonight's episode, Myself, Ms. B and Liz are joined by Walter. With a background that spans from kids parties to valet services, Walter brings some great stories to the show including a story that might just make you think twice about bounce houses at kids parties. Ms. B brings her best AOW story and Liz brings us another drunken boating issue. So sit back and enjoy, but as always, if you haven't subscribed, please hit subscribe to stay up to date with the latest episodes and please consider giving a review. Check Your Entitlement

In the dictionary, entitlement is as:[ en-tahy-tl-muhnt ] - the unjustified assumption that one has a right to certain advantages, preferential treatment, etc. In the hospitality industry, it's called "any day ending in 'Y'". While we strive to ensure every guest has an excellent stay, things can, do, and will go wrong from time to time. We will always do our best to make things right (within reason). In tonight's episode, we discuss a few stories of entitlement that just shouldn't have happened. From the mom who thinks its ok for a 4 year old to run a resort alone to the customer that is unhappy with their auto service and felt brandishing a weapon was the best way to express themselves, entitlement (and bad behavior) is all around us. Welcome to Ellen who is joining Ms. B, Liz and Bill as we discuss these stories and more. We appreciate you joining us and want to remind you to please, take a moment, and click the follow button!

The Octopus Arm

Welcome back to TFTSI! Since this recording was done around Valentine's Day, we tried to embrace the warmer, softer side of things... and if you believe that, then welcome to your first episode of TFTSI because that is not how we roll. Which makes this the perfect time to warn you that the "Octopus Arm" has nothing to do with seafood. While we keep it PG, you may not want to explain some of these things to the kids in the back seat.So sit back, grab your favorite beverage and join myself, Liz, Ms. B and Mike as we share stories and get a little silly. Thank you again for listening and please remember to like, share and review our podcast. Any, and all of those steps, helps us gain exposure. So hit that bell, subscribe or follow button... and we will see you again in two weeks!

We're Back, Becky!

The Number Will Surprise You - pt. 2

Welcome back to TFTSI! While this episode is set up as, and feels like a stand alone episode, it is a continuation of the great stories shared in the last episode (S1E16) with Andy and Liz... and we saved the best stories from that interview for part 2! So join us as we talk about the identity thieves that nearly ran over Andy during an arrest, a sex party where the number will continue to surprise you, prostitutes and pimps rolling a John and much more. I do want to stress that a few of the things shared in this episode get more than a little dark, some of which include people in desperate situations taking desperate actions. If you, or anyone you know have feelings of hurting themselves, help can be reached easily by calling 988.

The Number Will Surprise You - pt. 1

Welcome back to Tales from the Service Industry. As you saw in the title, this episode is a bit different than normal. Myself and Liz welcome Andy, a 20 year police veteran, to the show. Some of the stories in this episode have been previously shared, but now you get to hear the other side of the story. Andy takes us inside the scene after the guns are drawn and the doors close. We had such a great time recording that we simply had too many great stories and knew it would be a great 2 part episode to finish off our first season. So join us for an arrest in a lobby bathroom, drug users calling 911 on drug dealers, credit card fraud, identity theft, guns being drawn, theft, rewards member scams, ledge crawlers and the list goes on... and all these are just a warm up for part 2! Thank you so much for listening, sharing the show with those you know, and the feedback we have received from you. We appreciate you and your continued support. If you have a story you would like to share, we would love to hear from you. You can reach us via email at TalesfromtheServiceIndustry@gmail.com.

Have You Received Any Calls from the Embassy?

Welcome back to TFTSI! Tonight, Ms. B joins me and we welcome Natty to the show. As always, we cover a wide range of topics from threatening guest voice mails (what's new?), guests bragging about who they work for (spoiler alert, it isn't the Prime Minister) a missing Rolex, how NOT to get what you want with blackmail threats, employees with bad attitudes, employees that walk off the job and more. We appreciate you joining us and supporting our efforts. As always, if you know someone in the service industry that could relate to our show, please share a link with them from your favorite streaming service or find us on YouTube where you will find full episodes as well as bonus content. Can You Deliver it to the Funeral?

Welcome back to TFTSI! Joining us tonight is Mike, a veteran of the hospitality world and one of my personally favorite people. Join myself and Ms. B as the three of us dive into some really weird stories that just shouldn't happen in the hotel industry. So buckle up as Mike takes us through impromptu eulogies, people that believe "plump" is an ok describer for employees, nudists and more. Please note! We are aware that this episode has a few oddities in there recording. While uncertain what the tech glitch was caused by, we are aware and working to resolve the issue. Please remember to subscribe to ensure you don't miss any regularly scheduled, or special episodes.
