Jesus’ parable of the sower does not simply give us an answer—it asks us to take an honest look at our lives.

In this Sunday Spark message, UMC Danielson Lay Leader Cyndi Perkins invites us to consider the seeds we scatter through our words, choices, relationships, and attitudes. Are we sowing compassion, hope, forgiveness, and justice—or resentment, fear, judgment, and division?

Rather than sorting people into categories of good or bad soil, this message asks us to recognize the hardened, rocky, thorny, and fertile places within each of us. What needs to be softened? What obstacles need to be cleared? What old wounds need to be weeded out? And where is new life already beginning to flourish?
