Stop Measuring Downloads. Start Measuring This Instead.
Note sull'episodio
If your podcast disappeared tomorrow, would your audience notice? That question is the real trust test. In this episode Jon moves past the download obsession that drives most podcasting decisions and into the three metrics that actually tell you whether your show is building the kind of trust that leads to real business results.
The first metric is completion rate, what radio has always called time spent listening. If someone trusts you they stay. If they don't, they leave in the first two minutes. Understanding where your audience drops off and why is far more actionable than knowing how many people clicked play. The second metric is distinctiveness. Are you saying anything that your competitors wouldn't say? Generic content builds generic trust, which is to say almost none at all.
The third metric is perhaps the most honest one of all. Is anyone actually reaching out? Not just clicking, not just completing, but writing in, commenting, responding, and treating you like someone they have a relationship with rather than just content they consume. Passive consumption isn't trust. Active engagement is. Learn more and book a free consultation at storytrust.media.
