Still Called to Manage Stress His Way

Before we try to fix everything with a new meal plan or workout routine, we have to care for the mind. In this episode I talk about the order of priorities. As people of God, the mind must be renewed first. We explore what that renewal actually looks like — the deep realization that we are loved by the King of all kings, that we are worthy of care, and that we are daughters, not women who have to hold everything together alone. Stress is real, especially in this season of life. The world offers hustle, control, or numbness. God offers a different way: casting our cares on Him and receiving the peace that guards our hearts and minds. I share a practical step for when critical thoughts rise (especially in front of the mirror): say the harsh thought out loud, notice how unkind it sounds, have mercy on yourself, and bring it to the Father to rewrite. I pray this episode helps you breathe a little deeper today. You don’t have to carry it all. You are still called, and His peace is available. Still learning beside you, Alya

Still Called to Nourish Well

After 40, many of us notice that the old diets and habits no longer work the same way. What used to bring quick results suddenly feels harder, and it can leave us confused or discouraged. In this episode we talk about nourishment as part of answering God’s call. I share the idea of “God’s food” — the real food He provided from the beginning — and how it satisfies differently than the highly processed options designed to keep us wanting more. We look at Genesis 1:29, Genesis 9:3, and the beautiful reminder in 1 Corinthians 10:31 that even what we eat and drink can be done for the glory of God. I also give one simple, doable step: choose one meal you usually buy pre-made or ordered and try making a simpler version yourself, offering it to the Lord as stewardship. I pray this episode helps you see food not as another area of pressure, but as a quiet place of worship and care for the body He entrusted to you. Still learning beside you, Alya

Still Called to Care for Your Temple

For a long time I kept faith and the care of my body in two completely separate categories. Fitness felt worldly to me — something driven by appearance, size, and comparison. Even as a believer, I struggled with the tension between contentment and wanting to take better care of myself. In this episode I share how that began to change when I really saw 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit right now, and we were bought with a price. Caring for this body is not automatically vanity, and ignoring it is not automatically contentment. There is a third way — stewardship. We look at the difference between the world’s way (control, hustle, vanity metrics) and God’s way (trust, hard work offered to Him, rest, eternal impact). If you have ever felt conflicted about health, fitness, or your changing body, I pray this episode brings clarity and freedom. You are still called to care for the temple He has given you in this season. Still learning beside you, Alya

Still Called (Introduction)

What if the purpose you’ve been looking for isn’t something that appears and disappears with the seasons… but something that remains because God Himself has called you? In this first episode I share the heart behind Still Called. So many of us reach a point where roles have shifted, children need us differently, and we quietly wonder if our calling has already passed. I talk about how easy it is to think of calling only as something big and dramatic, and how Scripture shows us something deeper and more steady. You are still called — not because of how useful you feel right now, but because you belong to Him. His calling does not expire. I pray this episode settles something true in your heart today. You didn’t miss it. You are still called. Still learning beside you, Alya
