Think on doing what is honorable in the sight of all (17b) 3. Live peaceably with all (18) 4. Never avenge yourselves, leave it to God (v19) 5. Be good to your enemy to provoke shame to change (v20) 6. Don’t be overcome by evil but overcome it with good (v21)

Public Obligations — 13:1-7 a. Be obedient to governing authorities (v1a) b. For all authority is appointed by God (v1b) c. Resisting the government, is essentially resisting God (v2) d. Do what is good and you will have no fear (v3) e. Rulers are God’s servants for good (v4a) f. If you do bad, fear, rulers also serve God as an avenger (v4b) g.
