In this sermon, Pastor Jason Smith explores the tension between God’s sovereignty and human free will, asking how our choices matter if God is ultimately in control. Through the stories of King Joash and Queen Esther, he shows that while God’s promises are certain, our faith, courage, and obedience shape how we participate in His work. Rather than living passively or anxiously, we’re invited to step forward boldly within God’s revealed will, trusting Him to direct our steps. This teaching challenges listeners to reject half-hearted faith and embrace a life of prayerful dependence on God paired with courageous action.
