LTHS Football Update, Caleb's Robe, and MLB Playoffs

This week’s show covered plenty of local and Chicago sports, starting with a look at Lyons Township High School football and the Lions’ matchups with Glenbard West and Proviso West. We broke down the games and talked about the key moments.

From there, we shifted our attention to the Chicago Bears and their impressive win over the Philadelphia Eagles. With Caleb Williams sidelined, Case Keenum stepped in and helped lead the Bears to the big Monday night victory. We also had some fun discussing one of the more memorable postgame moments like Caleb Williams showing up in the locker room wearing a robe and why the unusual look quickly became a talking point.

We wrapped up the show with Major League Baseball and the Cubs’ Wild Card matchup against the San Diego Padres. After dropping Game 1, the Cubs entered Game 2 needing a win to keep their season alive and force a deciding game in the best-of-three series. We talked about the hope of keeping the Cubs around for another night and the possibility of advancing to the next round of the playoffs.

All in all, it was a packed show featuring local high school football, a surprising Bears victory, some good locker-room laughs, and plenty of postseason Cubs baseball.
