Nolan did his best to obscure any of the original, selfish sultry desires of the goddesses. But our Cinema Siblings ask the hard questions, could Odysseus consent to a goddess? Why did Nolan remove the sensuality of the original narrative? What is to be gained from turning the one of the greatest stories in Western literature into a depressing slog?
